Test of microphone and camera before a consultation

You can access “Test video equipment” in the main menu. If it is the first time, you might be asked to give the browser access to your camera and microphone.

If you see yourself and the microphone triggers the moving bars, you know that the microphone and camera are working.

We recommend using a headset to reduce the risk of the sound from your speakers entering your microphone and creating an echo.

Make sure the Internet Connection is good

Problems with the Internet Connection can cause the video to “freeze” or break. Contact a network technician if you have problems with your Internet Connection.

Recommendations to the patient

The patient will always go through an equipment check before a consultation. The camera, microphone and internet connection are tested. If any errors occur, the patient receives tips on how the errors can be solved to continute to the consultation.

Advise to share with patients

  • You can choose to log in and have your video consultation on either computer, phone or tablet.
  • Try to be in a quiet and peaceful place.
  • Use a headset to reduce the risk of the sound from your speakers entering your microphone and creating an echo. Make sure you have a good Internet Connection. If you use Wi-Fi and have several devices (computer, tablet, broadband TV, phone) connected to the same router, at the same time, they share the same bandwidth and this might result in less quality for the consultation. Try to disconnect other devices before your consultation to make sure you have a good connection.
  • If you have an iPhone or iPad, use the browser Safari. Other browsers are not supported for iOS.
