Your organisation or unit can be configured to manage contact with children and teenagers between certain ages.

The general recommendation is to allow direct contact with a child, from the age of 13 who have their own identification (electronic credentials for secure signing online). Take the child’s maturity into account when choosing whether you want to contact them or a guardian(s).

Definition of age and examples

It is possible to define within which age range Sendouts can be used, e.g. for children from 0-18 years. It is also possible to set the age limit, where you want to contact the child directly, e.g. 13, 15 or 18 years.

Example of configuration
Allow Sendouts to a guardian for children between 0 years and 18 years. Allow Sendouts directly to children (teenagers) from 13 years and up.

What the example means

  • For children under the age of 13, there is only one option – to contact the guardian.
  • For teenagers – the caregiver choose in which cases they want to contact the child or a guardian(s).
  • For people from the age of 18 – there is only one option, to contact them directly.
