With question groups questionnaires can be modified to match your unit’s way of working or for different patient groups. The grouping creates a possibility to turn off/on questions in multiple questionnaires at the same time and therefore simplify the administration and customisation of a unit.

A question group gathers questions of the same type, e.g. “ongoing medication” or “concerns”. If the question group “concerns” is switched off, all questions related to concerns are hidden in all questionnaires for a unit. If the group is switched on again, the questions will reappear in all forms where they are added.

How to work with question groups
  • Log into admin.
  • Select a unit.
  • Select “Questionnaires” in the menu.
  • Select “Modify questionnaires”.
  • Choose to switch on/off the question groups to be shown or not for a patient.

Note! Changes take effect immediately and affect all questionnaires in a unit.

Available question groups are shown in Doctrin admin and can be managed by users with the Unit Manager permission profile.

The selection of question groups is continuously expanded based on feedback. They become available once Doctrin’s medical team has activated them.

Default setting for question groups
“Switched on” means that the questions are asked in the forms where the medical team has deemed them to be clinically relevant. If the setting is changed, the questions linked to the respective question group will stop being asked in all questionnaires in the unit.

“Not switched on” means that questions related to the question group are not asked unless the change is actively modified for the unit.

Information to patients in questionnaires If suicidal plans: Be responsive and contact higher level of care The patient receives the following information in the questionnaire if the patient has indicated that they are preparing to take their own life: “You have reported preparations to take your life. Please call 111 or 999 if you feel acutely unwell or your mood deteriorates before we respond to you. We ask you to be extra available in chat and by phone.” This question is added to all psychiatric questionnaires. Not switched on
If suicidal preparations: Be responsive and contact higher level of care The patient receives the following information in the questionnaire if the patient has indicated that they are preparing to take their own life: “You have reported preparations to take your life. Note! Patients who report both suicide plans and preparations will receive two set of questions if both suicidal plans and preparations are switched on.
